Accenture's $10 billion cybersecurity business is expanding with a new operational technology security partner.
Ten years ago, venture capitalists told Dragos CEO Robert Lee that starting the company was a mistake. On Thursday, Accenture bought a majority stake in the company at a $3.2 billion valuation.
Dragos announced the news in a blog post today. Accenture has also bought cybersecurity firms runZero and NetRise outright.
Both will be folded into Dragos' operational technology (OT) security platform.
The deal values the combined suite of businesses at $4.1 billion, which make it, according to the press statement, the most valuable OT cybersecurity company in history.
OT analyst Dale Peterson said, "This is a massive shake-up to the market that I can't even get my head around (yet)."
