Anthropic has hired former Netflix cybersecurity boss Vitaly Gudanets as its new CISO – former Anthropic CISO Jason Clinton stays on as his deputy.
Anthropic is hiring widely across security, with open roles in incident response, container and VM security, and cloud security architecture.
Posting on LinkedIn on Sunday, Gudanets said he will be working to "strengthen our security posture, protect our cutting-edge research, and help ensure that AI development happens safely and responsibly.”
The hire comes after security researcher Elad Beber this year identified bugs in Claude Code that let him “read sensitive files; bypass permission prompts [and] break out of the intended sandbox restrictions.”
