Atlassian said it moved 38,000 databases per day to AWS Aurora PostgreSQL at the peak of a major migration to the managed service.
The shift was for its Jira database platform – home to over 27.4 billion database files – and saw it move from Amazon RDS to Aurora instead.
The enterprise collaboration software company cited a need for more flexibility and better SLAs. (Atlassian had blamed RDS for a May outage.)
