Bank of America's CEO said AI tools are saving the equivalent of 2,000 coders in work on technical projects, adding later in the call he expects headcount to decrease at the bank in 2026.

Developers at the US’s second largest bank, with $3.3 trillion in assets, are using GitHub copilot to code which "saves us about 2,000 people" worth of work, according to CEO Brian Moynihan, adding the bank has spent “several hundred million dollars” on AI projects.
