Deutsche Telekom, Europe’s largest telco, has claimed its use of AI will deliver €2.5 billion ($2.8 billion) in indirect savings for the company between 2023 and 2030.
The company, which recorded €119 billion in revenue in 2025, shared a press release on Monday outlining its plans to further automate internal processes and grow its own AI businesses.
It said: “For 2027, Telekom expects AI and automation to generate gross savings of approximately 1.1 billion euros outside the U.S. compared to 2023... Additional savings in 2027 are to be partially reinvested in accelerating the digital transformation and in the expansion of the fiber-optic network in Germany.”
The indirect savings will reach €2.5 billion by 2030, it said.
