The UK government is hiring a civil servant to oversee technology for the nation’s healthcare system – and paying a rare premium of £285,000.

That’s on top of the £115,000 it’s paid to recruitment agency Egon Zehnder to help try and fill the role – as revealed by an October contract notice.
