Broadcom CEO Hock Tan has committed to staying in charge of the semiconductor and infrastructure software firm “through 2030, at least.” 

That would take his run at the helm to an impressive 26 years.

His decision, announced on a Q3 earnings call on September 4, came as Broadcom said it had squeezed VMware’s gross margins from 90% to 93%.
