The UK’s largest police force, the Metropolitan Police Service (MPS), is gearing up for a sweeping £420 million ($550+ million) overhaul of its enterprise network infrastructure as it looks to move to a secure access service edge (SASE) approach.

It is testing market waters for a new networks supplier as it embarks on a “deliberate disaggregation of our current infrastructure managed service”which will be split into separate networks and core infrastructure contracts, with networks procured first.
