The popular GitHub alternative, with a $5 billion market cap since going public in 2021, counts the Nasdaq, UBS, and Southwest Airlines as customers using the intelligence orchestration platform to ship software.
In May, GitLab entered what it calls its “second act”, a new approach to the business that focuses heavily on AI-augmented workflows and agents. It has extended this pivot to staffing, also announcing a 30% reduction in headcount which is currently underway.
