The oil and gas giant is targeting a 2028 deadline for its S/4 HANA transition.
A major SAP migration is already benefitting ExxonMobil, said its CEO, as it builds a new core data platform to centralise operations, streamline ERP upgrades, and cut 97% of profit centres.
In a Q4 earnings call, CEO Darren Woods said the migration was “already delivering results” as the oil and gas company combines 12 ERP systems into a single S/4HANA instance.
“We're going to have 97% fewer profit centres, 70% fewer cost centres," CFO Kathy Mikells added in the 30 January call.
