Salesforce is receiving up to $5.6 billion from the US Army to rollout its data and cloud software across the Department of War (DoW).

The Army signed an Indefinite Deliver Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with the Salesforce National Security subsidiary, which was published to the US government's System for Award Management (SAM.gov) on Monday.

The IDIQ structure allows the Army to scale Salesforce tools and services on demand, rather than going through lengthy acquisition cycles for each new need.
