Helen Rabe has left her role as CISO at the BBC after just over four years to join British law firm Ashurst Perkins Coie as its Global CISO.
Rabe oversaw the Beeb’s information, cyber and technology security operations, which included “developing, implementing and enforcing the BBC’s security policies to protect the critical data, services and systems across the business."
In practice, that often meant wrangling security investment from executives, chairing risk governance committees, and collaborating with UK government agencies on emerging regulations, per Rabe’s self-described responsibilities on LinkedIn.
According to her LinkedIn profile, Rabe managed a global team of 90, seven direct reports, and an eight-figure budget. Rabe started her new gig with Ashurst Perkins Coie in July, after leaving the BBC in June.
