“It’s been a long road” says SolarWinds CISO Tim Brown
Industry CISOs have welcomed the SEC’s move to dismiss its lawsuit against SolarWinds and its CISO Tim Brown – whom it had sued in 2023 over alleged "fraud and internal control failures relating to allegedly known cybersecurity risks and vulnerabilities” after 2019’s notorious supply chain attack.
Market regulator the SEC on Thursday filed a joint motion with SolarWinds and Brown, asking a court to dismiss the watchdog’s enforcement action.
“It’s been a long road and I’m glad it is finally over. We did nothing wrong and fought relentlessly over the last three years to prove that,” said Brown.
