Europe gives four ‘sovereign’ cloud vendors SEAL of approval

The European Commission (EC) has awarded four European cloud firms a €180 million ($156 million) contract to provide “sovereign” cloud services.

Europe’s executive selected suppliers from Belgium, France, Germany, and Luxembourg to supply its internal offices and EU institutions amid a pronounced sovereignty drive that is gaining steam across the continent.
