AI
Many business leaders think they can turn off AI tomorrow without serious impact, while employees happily use shadow AI.
A new survey from Accenture, titled Generating Impact, has found UK business leaders unenthusiastic about AI and seemingly ill-prepared for consumer adoption, even as their employees source their own tools.
Among the UK executives Accenture polled, 31% said there would be no material effect on operations if they were to stop using all AI tomorrow. Nearly a quarter said they could not even estimate if their AI spending was effective, and 46% said they had seen little to no positive impact on the bottom line from their AI spend.
But there were some indications that businesses are badly underestimating consumer adoption in areas that will affect their spending.
