AI has made it easier than ever to be an open source project contributor. 

That’s both a blessing and a curse. 

It’s democratised the ability to contribute patches or feature ideas. But it’s also spawned a lot of slop-like pull requests (PRs) – or proposed code changes – and added to the workload of often overstretched volunteers.
