Salesforce is muscling into the IT Service Management (ITSM) world with plans to launch a “very democratic” and “AI-native” ServiceNow rival.
CEO Marc Benioff revealed the plans on a Q2 earnings call late Wednesday, saying the software will be “Slack-first… right inside Slack.”
(Salesforce closed its $27-billion acquisition of Slack in July 2021.)
An enthusiastic Benioff said ITSM, along with public sector contracts, are two areas where Salesforce sees the most potential for growth.
