Security camera company Wyze blamed an AWS outage and then a Redis caching issue after it leaked images and some video from 13,000 customers to other users in a major security and privacy blunder. 

An upstream AWS outage triggered a downstream cascade of IT issues that saw it ultimately mix up “device ID and user ID mappings” it said.
