UK fires up Semiconductor Institute

The institute is set to build on Britain's £1 billion strategy for the sector

The British government is setting up a UK Semiconductor Institute to oversee the country's strategy to expand semiconductor research and innovation.

According to a statement, the Institute will be established as an independent organisation, liaising between chip researchers and manufacturers. This will include both government and independent researchers.
